About Bayti

Halal food, from your neighbors.

Bayti is a marketplace for halal home-cooked meals. Chefs in your community cook from their own kitchens; you browse, order, and choose how it arrives. Every meal is halal-committed, every order is fully refundable if something goes wrong, and every price is transparent before you pay.

The problem we’re solving

Finding genuinely halal home cooking is hard.

Restaurants advertise halal but the labels mean different things to different chefs. Delivery apps surface fast-food halal at the top because that’s what advertises hardest. And the chefs in your own neighborhood — the ones cooking biryani on a Friday or mansaf for a Sunday family table — have no easy way to share what they make with the community around them.

Bayti is built for the gap in between. A trusted marketplace for halal food from the people who already feed our community: home chefs first, then drivers, stores, and farms.

The Bayti promise

What you can expect, every order.

Halal, taken seriously

Every chef on Bayti signs a halal commitment at onboarding and lists where their meat and ingredients come from. We rely on transparency and your reviews rather than a single certifying body — if anything ever feels off, email us and we investigate.

Transparent pricing

You see every line of your order before you pay — food, service fee, delivery (if applicable), tip, and sales tax. No surprises, no creeping charges, no platform fee added at the last screen.

Real refunds, automatic

If you cancel before the chef accepts your order, you get an instant full refund. If the chef cancels after accepting, the system fires a full refund within minutes — you don't have to chase anyone for your money back.

Sales tax handled for you

Bayti operates as a marketplace facilitator. We collect the right state sales tax at checkout and remit it on the chef's behalf. Chefs don't have to track it; customers don't have to think about it.

One conversation per order

When you need to reach the chef before, during, or after an order, you have a single thread tied to that order — not a scattered group chat across multiple apps.

Cottage food, disclosed plainly

Most chefs on Bayti operate under their state's cottage food rules — meaning the food is prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the state or local health department. We disclose this on every listing and every receipt. No fine print.

Where Bayti is going

One trusted halal marketplace, built in phases.

We’re rolling Bayti out deliberately, one role at a time. Each phase only goes live when the trust signals around it (chef commitments, driver onboarding, retailer authorization) are ready.

Phase 1 — today

Home chefs

Approved home chefs sell pickup and delivered meals through Bayti, city by city. Live now.

Phase 2 — next

Drivers

A trusted-driver network so deliveries to your door are handled by people who share your community — not just whoever picks up the next ride on a delivery app.

Phase 3 — beyond

Stores and farms

Halal markets and family farms bringing groceries, meat, and produce onto the same trusted marketplace. The plan also includes SNAP/EBT acceptance once participating halal stores complete their FNS retailer authorization.
