Bayti is for everyone.
Last reviewed June 19, 2026
We want every neighbor — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology — to be able to find halal food and place an order on Bayti. This page explains what we aim for, what we’ve built in, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
Our conformance target
Bayti aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, are the standard most widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for measuring whether a website is accessible.
Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time checkbox. We review new features against these guidelines as we build them, and we treat reported barriers as bugs to be fixed.
What we've built in
Across the Bayti site you’ll find:
- A “Skip to main content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and labeled form controls so screen readers can announce the page in a logical order.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
- Color combinations chosen to meet AA contrast minimums for text.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting — if your device asks for less animation, our motion and scroll effects turn off.
- Content that remains readable when JavaScript is unavailable.
Known limitations
We’re honest about where we’re still improving. Some areas may not yet fully meet our target, including third-party components (such as embedded payment fields and maps) whose accessibility we don’t fully control, and vendor-supplied content such as listing photos, where alternative text depends on what the vendor provides. If you hit a barrier in any of these, please tell us — we’ll help you complete your task and work on a fix.
Report a barrier
If you encounter anything on Bayti that you can’t access, or that’s hard to use with assistive technology, email hello@getbayti.com. It helps if you can tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using — but even a quick note is enough to get us started.
We aim to respond within a few business days, and if a barrier is keeping you from placing an order, let us know and we’ll help you complete it directly in the meantime.
