Bayti connects you with home chefs in your community who cook halal food from their own kitchens. Order what you would actually eat at home, choose how it arrives, and follow it from prep to door.
For customers
Ordering, end to end.
01
Browse local halal
Open /browse, search your city, filter by cuisine or "ready now." Every listing shows real photos, the chef behind the meal, prep details, and customer reviews.
02
Pick how it arrives
Each listing tells you what is available — pickup at the chef's home, the chef delivers themselves, or door-to-door via our delivery service. You choose what fits.
03
Checkout securely
Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any major card. Bayti uses Stripe so your card details never touch our servers. You get an email receipt the moment you pay.
04
Track prep and delivery
Watch your order move from "received" to "accepted by the chef" to "ready" and finally "delivered." We email at every step so you are never guessing.
05
Rate the meal
After delivery, leave a star rating — and a comment if you want. Reviews stay anonymous to the chef and help the next customer choose.
Every order shows you each line before you pay. Here is what each one means.
Food
Each chef sets their own price. What you see on the listing is what the food costs.
Service fee
A small percentage of the food subtotal that keeps the platform running, processes payments, and pays for customer support.
Delivery (if applicable)
If the chef delivers themselves, they set their own delivery fee. If you choose our delivery service, the fee is quoted at checkout based on distance.
Tip
Optional. 100% of any tip goes to the chef (or driver, for delivered orders) — Bayti takes none of it.
Refunds & cancellations
If something goes wrong, you are covered.
You cancel before the chef accepts
Instant full refund — no charge ever clears your card.
The chef cancels after accepting
Automatic full refund — the system fires within minutes of the chef hitting cancel. Funds typically land back on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
The order is delivered but something is wrong
Email hello@getbayti.com with your order number. We look at every case individually and work with you and the chef.
Trust & safety
Built on transparency, not promises.
Halal commitment
Every chef signs a halal commitment at onboarding and lists their meat and ingredient sources. We rely on transparency and your reviews rather than a single certifying body.
Cottage food disclosure
Most chefs operate under their state's cottage food rules — meaning the food is prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the state or local health department. We disclose this on every listing and every receipt.
Real reviews
Star ratings come from customers who actually ordered. Reviews stay anonymous to the chef. The aggregate rating is what you see on the listing and storefront.
One conversation per order
If you need to reach the chef before, during, or after an order, you have a single thread tied to that order — not a scattered group chat.
For chefs
Cook from your kitchen. We handle the rest.
Set your own menu and prices. List meals when you are cooking. Bayti handles payments, customer communication, and — if you want it — delivery via our delivery service. Payouts land in your bank through Stripe.

Common questions
Answers, straight up.
We launch city by city, starting where chefs have already signed up. The fastest way to see if Bayti is in your city is to open /browse and search — if no listings appear yet, we are not there yet. Email hello@getbayti.com to nudge us toward your city.

Most operate under their state's cottage food rules (for example, Florida HB 663). That means the food is prepared in a home kitchen not inspected by the state or local health department — and we disclose this clearly on every listing and every receipt. Some chefs operate under additional state programs (like Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operations in California and Utah). We confirm permits during the application review.

Yes — 100%. Bayti takes none of any tip you leave. For delivered orders, the tip goes to whoever delivered the meal (the chef if they delivered, the driver if our delivery service did).
No — Bayti itself does not add sales tax at checkout. Most meals on Bayti come from home chefs and farms whose items are non-taxable under their state's cottage food rules. For halal stores that do sell taxable items, the local sales tax is already included in the listed price, and the store files it directly with the state. So the total you see at checkout is the total you pay — no extra tax line.
Each cart is tied to a single chef so that prep, pickup, and delivery stay coordinated. To order from two chefs, place two separate orders.
You get an email at every step — order received, chef accepted, ready, and delivered. You can also open your order page anytime to see the current status.
Yes — if you cook halal food from your home kitchen, we want to hear from you. Sign up at /apply — your storefront opens right away, and we confirm what your state requires.
Yes. If your menu already lives on your own website, your Uber Eats page, or your DoorDash page, approved vendors can install our free Chrome extension — the Bayti Listing Importer — at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/mnbbjlfmmggnchbheeppmibioakpphjn. Open your menu page and it pulls the item names, prices, and photos into your Bayti dashboard as draft listings for you to review and publish.
